Pay My Bill

Montgomery County Public Utilities offers six options to pay your bill:

1.  AUTOMATIC DRAFT:  By filling out and returning our Automatic Draft Form, customers can have their monthly bill drafted from a checking or savings account.  

    • Efficient - ensure your bill is paid on time every month with no check to write, stamp to mail, or travel to our office
    • Eliminates Risk - you do not have to worry about service interruptions from non-payments.
    • Eco-Friendly - Paying online reduces paper use and is an easy way to take part in sustaining our environment.  You can feel good about helping to save natural resources like trees and grass, and reducing your carbon footprint.
    • Drafts are processed on the 10th to insure payments are posted on the due date.
    • FREE

 

2.  ON-LINE: MCPU is excited to offer customers an easy and convenient method to view and pay your utility bills on-line. With our Web Inquiry & Payment Portal (WIPP) option, you may view account transaction history, view your current bill, and pay your account balance.  You will need your utility account number & PIN to access your account - both of which are printed at the top of your bill.  If you do not have a copy of your bill, don't hesitate to call customer service at (910) 572-1221 and we will look it up for you.

    • Safe & Secure - Rest assured that your information is kept confidential and is 100% secure.  Information and payment processes are compliant with PCI Security Council Standards.

3.  BY MAIL:  Simply place your payment and the return portion of your bill in the provided return envelope and mail to:  Montgomery County Public Utilities, PO Box 425 Troy, NC 27371

    • Please allow several business days for processing.  
    • Payments will be posted upon receipt.

4.  NIGHT DROP BOX:  Located at the entrance of our Billing and Customer Service office accessible from the rear parking lot of 444 N. Main St. in Troy.  

    • Payments will be posted the next business day.

5.  PAY IN PERSON:  Visit our Billing and Customer Service office  accessible from the rear parking lot of 444 N. Main St. in Troy.

    • Payments will be posted upon receipt.

6.  BILL PAY:  Available through most banking institutions.  Customers may use their bank's online services to make electronic payments or send e-checks.  

    • Fees and processing times vary per banking institutions. 
    • Payments will be posted upon receipt.
